The Profile Center (old
system tray application) has been replaced with a comprehensive and powerful yet
easy to use interface for day to day usage.
Security aspects have been integrated into the product. Both from an end
user perspective as well as an IT administrator perspective.
New wizards make it much easier to not only get connected but also to share
and access information. E.g. a PC-to-PC wizard helps the user connect two or more
computers and share files between them. The file wizard provides the same guide
when connected via e.g. a home network.

There are many new features and wizards that help less technical
users to be more productive when moving between locations. One important
goal has been to create an interface to MultiNetwork Manager that
everyone can use. I.e. get connected securely and easily and be
able to access and share network resources.

All of the updates made available for the end users are also important
from an IT administrator perspective since it greatly increases
end user efficiency and reduced support.

Key Features
- Create sub-profiles that are visible and selectable by end
users via the connection wizards. E.g. create a VPN sub-profile
that can be combined regardless of whether the user connect using
a Dial-up, wired or wireless connection.
- Enhanced location sensing. It is now much easier to use and
administrate
- Apply profiles, I.e. take action if AntiVirus has not been
updated or the firewall is disabled
- Many components have been updated, e.g. the e-mail component
- Better profile control, I.e. grouping of profiles
